The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it can be alarmed concerning the superior number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's status sassa no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The assistance place made for intervention activities a superior inflow of prospective beneficiaries, which sassa status makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all prospects and enhance use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
